Mitu killing: Babul Akhter being interrogated

Staff Correspondent, Chittagong: Police Supper Babul Akhter is being interrogated by police in killing case of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.

A team of police took away  Babul Akther from his father-in-law house early hours of Saturday. He was living at his father-in-law house in the capital  since his wife Mitu  was killed by some unidentified assailants on June 5.


On the condition of anonymity, several sources said Babul Akhter was arrested but any official source did not confirm it.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said Babul Akhter is being interrogated by police on some issues.

He, however, refused to disclose any more details, saying that you would get the update soon.

Unidentified miscreants gunned down Mahmuda Khanam Mitu at the city`s GEC intersection while she went there to drop her son, Mahir Akhter, 7, for a bus to Chittagong Cantonment Public School and College.
