My resignation is final, Mobin to risingbd.com

Staff Correspondent: Vice-Chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury in an exclusive interview to risingbd.com said he is no more with BNP politics if BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia refuses to accept his resignation.

The BNP leader made the assertion while giving an exclusive interview to risingbd.com at his DOHS residence in the capital` Banani on Thursday noon.

Asked about what he will do if BNP Chairperson refuses his resignation, he said, "My decision is final. I have gone into retirement on health grounds. Now I prefer retirement".

Asked about his physical condition, he said, "My physical condition is not well. I have to go to doctor. My left eye is working at all. It needs to be operated. Besides, I have problem with Kolestorele that is deteriorating day by day. I am undergoing treatment under a doctor from Thailand".

 
In reply to a question about why he is leaving politics, "Doing politics is not like government job. People come to politics willingly. So he can go into retirement as he wishes. It is not the government job to be accepted or not. I preferred retirement on health grounds".
