Huge arms, ammo recovered in Naikhangchhari

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday recovered a big cache of weapons from Naikhangchhari Upazila of the district.

Sources said that the law enforcers conducted the drive with two detained Rohingya people in hilly area of Naikhangchhari and recovered 10 fire arms and 189 round ammunitions.

Meanwhile, RAB also detained another Rohingya from the spot.

Earlier, on Monday night, two Rohingya named Khairul Amin and Master Abul Kalam Azad were arrested with a pistol and shutter gun from Kutupalong area of Ukhiya.

RAB director general Benazir Ahmed and Director General of Ansar Maj Gen Mizanur Rahman Khan visited the spot.

Benazir Ahmed said that the looted arms from Teknaf Ansar camp were found in the recovered arms and ammunition.
