Staff Correspondent: Police detained four youths with a 9mm pistol from Damodar village under Phultala Upazila of the district on Monday evening.
The detainees are identified as Tanvir Ahmed, 27, Mehedi Hasan, 32, Arifuzzaman, 27, Rifat Ahmed Anik, 24.
Sources said that acting on a tip-off, police conducted a drive in the area and detained the youth with the pistol around 7:00pm.
Phultala police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asaduzzaman Munsi confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
