One killed in Feni ‘gunfight’

Feni Correspondent: A suspected robber was killed in a ‘gunfight’ with RAB at Char Chandia in district’s Sonagazi upazila early Saturday.

The deceased was identified as Masud (33), son of Badsha Mia of the upazila.

Feni camp director squadron leader of RAB-7 Safayet Ahmed Fahim said a gang of robbers were taking preparation for robbery in the Char Chandia area around 3:00pm.

On information, RAB members conducted a drive there.

Sensing the presence of RAB, the robbers opened fire on them. In retaliation, RAB fired back that left Masud dead.

The RAB members recovered two pistols and four machetes from the spot.

Masud is an accused of ten cases including two murder cases.
