Palestinian President due Dhaka this midnight

Risingbd Desk: Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas will make a stop-over in Dhaka for an hour today midnight on his way to Japan, a press release from the Embassy of the State of Palestine said.

Mahmoud Abbas along with his entourage will reach Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 12.30 am on Sunday and leave the country at 1.30am.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and State Minister for Power and Energy Nasrul Hamid will welcome the Palestinian President at the airport. Along with them, Chief of Protocol Mr. Asad Alam Siam and other concerns of Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bangladesh will be present. All the Arab Heads of Mission in Dhaka will also be present to greet the President.

The press release said President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas, will make his first stop-over station in Bangladesh while continuing his tour to three other Asian countries.

The visiting delegation will have a meeting with the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh Delegation. During the meeting, the issue of Palestine, the most recent development of Jerusalem issue in particular will be discussed alongside the ongoing Israeli aggressive policy which has been intensified since September, 2015, that result more than 170 lives of innocent Palestinian Women, Youth & Children. Other subjects of mutual interest between the two nations of Palestine & Bangladesh will be discussed in the meeting.

The Palestinian delegation led by the President will also include the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Palestine, Dr. Riad al Malki, the Presidential spokesperson Mr. Nabil Abu Rodini, Special Advisor of Diplomatic Affair Dr. Majdi al Khalidi, special Economic Advisor Mr. Mustafa Abu al Rob and The Ambassador of the state of Palestine in Jordan, Mr. Attallah Khairi . The meeting will take place at the Airport VVIP Lounge. Mr. Yousef S.Y. Ramadan, the charge d’Affair of the Palestinian Embassy in Dhaka, will also be present as a part of the Palestinian delegation.
