Arms factory busted in Cox's Bazar, 2 held

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two people with huge number of arms and ammunition from a fire arms making factory in Maheshkhali Upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The detainees were identified as Abdul Mabud, 40, son of late Azom Ullah, hailed from Mohisher Deil and Abu Taher, 42, son of Ahmed Kabir, hailed from Ahammadia Kata area of Maheshkhali union.

Sources said that a team of RAB-7 conducted raid in deep forest of Pahartoli area of Maheshkhali and seized 14 local made guns, six one shooter guns, two rifle, 22 rounds bullets and arms making equipments.

Meanwhile, the law enforcers detained two arms makers from the spot.

RAB-7 Company Commander Lieutenant Commander Ashekur Rahman confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
