Parliament passes condolence proposal

Parliament Correspondent: The meeting today of the National Parliament expressed sorrow over the demise of veteran Awami League leader Suranjit Sengupta, while extending heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family.

Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury read out the condolence proposal wishing for the eternal peace of the departed souls of Suranjit Sengupta.

Later, the members of the parliament joined a discussion over the condolence proposal where Railway Minister Mujibul Haque, Abdur Razzak, Abdul Matin Khasru, Fazle Nur Taposh, Abdul Majid Khan, Muhibur Rahman Manik, State Minister for finance Abdul Mannan and others spoke.
