Students call countrywide strike for Wednesday

DU Correspondent: Progressive Student’s Alliance on Tuesday called student strike in all educational institutions across the country for Wednesday demanding cancelling the admission test for question paper leak and retaking it with fresh sent question papers.
Convener of the alliance also Somajtantrik Chhatra Front member Imran Habib Ruman called the student strike in a press conference at Dhaka University Modhur Canteen in the city on Tuesday noon.
On the other hand, medical admission seekers are continuing sit-in programme in the same reason.
Spokesman Khalid Saifullah said that sit-in programme at Central Shaheed Minar will continue from tomorrow around 11:00am.
Earlier, Progressive Student’s Alliance set a deadline till October 6 to fulfill their demand.
But, getting no positive response from the government, the students decided about the new strike, said Imran Habib Ruman.
Bangladesh Chhatra Union General Secretary Jilani Shuvo, Chhatra Federation president Parvez Lenin, Somajtantrik Chhatra Front member Naima Khaled Manika and others attended in the press conference.
