RAB’s Ziaul Ahsan made NSI director

Staff Correspondent: Additional Director General (ADG) of Rapid Action Batallion (RAB) Colonel Ziaul Ahsan has been appointed as the Director of National Security Intelligence (NSI) for internal affairs.

He took over the charge of NSI Director on Thursday.

Ziaul Ahsan said, “I will try my level best to discharge my duties here in my new office. In this regard, I seek cooperation from all like before.”

Incumbent commanding officer of RAB-11, lieutenant colonel Anwar Latif Khan has been promoted to the rank of colonel to replace Ziaul in RAB.

In 2009, Ziaul joined RAB-2 as the deputy commander. He took over the charge of the Director of Intelligence Branch at the RAB headquarters after being promoted to the post of Lieutenant Colonel from the post of Major in 2010.

He became the ADG of RAB after being promoted to the post of Colonel in 2013. He was promoted to the post of Brigadier from the post of Colonel in September last year.
