Railway staff Motaleb attain illegal wealth worth Tk 2cr!

M A Rahman: The Anti Corruption Commission, in its investigation, found that Bangladesh Railway assistant administration officer (West Zone) Motaleb Hossain attained illegal wealth worth of Tk 2 crore.

A source of ACC confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

Wishing anonymity an officer of ACC told risingbd.com that according to a specific allegation ACC conduct an investigation against railway assistant administration officer Md Motaleb and found that he acquired illegal wealth worth Tk 199,05,897. But, the corruption watchdog ordered reinvestigation about the wealth due to irregularities in the wealth statement.  

The ACC sources said that the commission started investigation on January 29 on the basis of specific complaint. The case was handed over to ACC deputy director Mohammad Abdus Sobhan and ACC director Moniruzzaman will supervise the investigation.
