Verdict after retirement: Justice Manik issues letter to CJ

Staff Correspondent: The recently retired Justice A H M Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik has issued a letter to the Chief Justice (CJ) Surendra Kumar Sinha to accept a verdict that was written after his retirement.

The letter was dropped for the Chief Justice on Sunday, Justice Manik himself confirmed the news to media.

The letter was issued when discussions and criticisms had been sparked across the country as Chief Justice made a comment that `Writing verdict after retirement is contrary to the Constitution`.
