Website offers virtually slapping Aamir

Risingbd Desk: It seems that there is lot more to come over the statement of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan on rising intolerance in India.

Speaking at the Ramnath Goenka Awards on November 23, Aamir had said: “When I chat with Kiran at home, she says ‘Should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. You feel why this is happening, you feel low. That sense does exist in me.”

Aamir`s remarks drew both flak and support from various quarters. Following the issue, Shiv Sena’s Punjab unit announced a Rs 1 lakh reward for anyone who would slap the actor.

While, thankfully, no one has been able to get their palms at the real Aamir, the internet has come up with the next best thing. However, USA`s Miami Ad School students went ahead and made a website where anyone could do just that.

The website SlapAamir.com gives users a chance to slap Aamir Khan virtually.

Aamir has already been slapped over 24 lakh times and the number is rising every moment.
