`Yunus prevents GB`s progresses`

Special Correspondent: Finance Minister AMA Muhith on Monday alleged that the development of Grameen Bank is stopped only for some of the activities of Dr Muhammad Yunus.

The Finance Minister made the comment while addressing a book revealing ceremony in the capital`s secretariat office.

The progress of the GB has been halted as Yunus and his men filed cases.

"Microcredit is not new in this country," says the Minister.

Pointing to the country`s sharemarket he also said, "The sahremarket is now in stable after having long irregularities in the market."

Pointing to the government, however, Grameen Bank founder and Nobel Laureate Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus claimed, "The government is trying to take Grameen Bank under its control for looting its capital.
