‘Darul Ihsan students to get Tk 5 lakh each’

Secretariat Correspondent: Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid has said that students of closed Darul Ihsan University will get Tk 5 lakh as compensation each.

The education minister said this to the journalists after the meeting of education, oversees welfare and employment, labour and employment affairs of DC Conference-2016 at the Secretariat on Wednesday.

Nahid said that the government would help students to get compensation and to get admission at other universities.

The government has shut all activities of Darul Ihsan University following the growing involvement in militant activities by a section of students of some private universities.

The Ministry of Education issued an order in this regard on Tuesday.
