PRAN-RFL Group inaugurates Habiganj Industrial Park

Risingbd Desk, DHAKA, Mar 13: PRAN-RFL Group has launched the activities of its Habiganj Industrial Park at Olipur under Sayestaganj in Habigang district.

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith formally inaugurated the industrial park recently.   

Later, the finance minister visited the new factory and praised the PRAN-RFL Group authority for taking such a major initiative, saying that it would help develop local economy, says a press release.     

Maj Gen Amjad Khan Chowdhury, Chief Executive of PRAN-RFL Group, informed that the industrial park is being set up on about 200 acres of land and 1700 crore taka will be needed to run its all projects.

The industrial zone has a capacity of producing 30 mw captive power and ETP facility. Meeting the domestic demand, products produced here to be exported to foreign countries, he said.

All kinds of facilities for employees will be developed there like school, mosque, clinic, etc. About 15 thousand people will be employed in industrial zone, Maj Gen Amjad Khan Chowdhury also said.

Liquid glucose, processed foods, flexible packaging, plastic and PVC products, bicycle, electric cable, glass, ceramics, medical equipments, foam and toiletries products will be produced at the industrial zone.

Asian Development Bank (ADB), DEG, EDC and local financing company provided fund for this industrial park.
