62 arrested in anti-drug drives in Dhaka

Different police stations and intelligence departments under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have arrested 62 people and seized drugs from their possession after conducting anti-drug drives in the capital.

Arrests were made and drugs were seized during the anti-drug drives conducted in different areas of the capital from 6 am on Tuesday (January 26) till 6 am today, according to a DMP press release issued on Wednesday (January 27).

The seized drugs include yaba, heroin, hemp, Phensidyl and wine.

A total of 42 cases have been filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act.
