E-Orange owner Sonia among 3 on remand

A court in Dhaka placed E-Orange owner Sonia Mehzabin and two others on one-day fresh remand each in a Tk1.20 crore fraud case.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order on Thursday (October 28).

Two other accused are -- her husband Masukur Rahman and Operating Officer of the e-commerce company Amanullah.

Earlier on October 7, a student of Dhaka College named Sazzad Islam filed the case.

According to the case statement, Sazzad and his brother provided Tk1.20 crore to buy motorcycles and home appliances from the platform, e-orange. But, the organization did not give delivery to products ordered by about one lakh customers.
