13.77cr meters current nets seized in Munshiganj

Naval police seized 13.77 crore meters of illegal fishing nets from various factories in Panchasar union of Munshiganj Sadar on Monday.

Deputy inspector general of police (DIG) Atikul Islam of Naval police department’s Dhaka Range conducted the drive and seized the nets worth Tk250 crore.

Later, in the presence of local media personnel, the seized nets were burned and destroyed in a fire.
