132 people take oath to leave drug trade

Gaibandha Correspondent: 132 people including women have taken oath with a promise to leave drug trade in Gobindaganj upazila of Gaibandha district.

Also with an aim to build a drug-free society, they took the oath at a programme organised by the district’s community police on Thursday afternoon.

All the 132 drug traders promised to come back to normal life after they surrendered to police.

Local lawmaker Abul Kalam Azad was present as the chief guest while Police super M. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled presided over the programme.

Local lawmaker Abul Kalam Azad gave TK 5000 to 20 people of them for their rehabilitation and assured of rehabilitation for the rest of the people.
