2 kg gold seized at Shahjala airport

Custom officials today detained seven persons with around 2 kilogrammes of gold from their possession at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.

Acting of a tip-off, the custom officials challenged two female passengers soon after they came out from a flight. Later, the law enforces found 968 grams of gold from them.

Besides, Preventive Team of Dhaka Customs House also seized eight gold bars, two bangles and a gold chain from five passengers.

Dhaka Customs House Deputy Commissioner Md Sazzad Hossain confirmed the matter to risingbd.
