25 Shibir men held at RU, RUET

RU Correspondent: Police have detained 25 activists of Islami Chatraa Shibir from Rajshahi University and Rajshahi University Engineering Technology (RUET) on Tuesday night.

Witnesses said that the university Chhatra League president Golam Kibria and general secretary Faisal Runu started a search operation in the university dormitory and caught 13 activists of Shibir. Later, the Shibir men were handed over to Motihar police station.

Motihar police station OC Mahmbub Hossain said, "We could not join the drive due to the lack of administration order. But, Chhatra League activists handed them over to the law enforcers."

Besides, police also detained 12 leaders and activists of Shibir from a residence at Upavadra area of the district town.
