5 killed in covered van-human hauler collision

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: At least five people were killed and six others injured when a human hauler collided head-on with a covered van in Masterbari area of Gazipur City Corporation on Monday.

Of the deceased three were identified as Sadia Afrin Rimi, 17, daughter of Shah Jamal, Farhana Aktar Shikha, 16, daughter of Farhad Hossain and Khadiza, 16, daughter of Giash Uddin.

The accident took place around 2:30pm.



Naozor Highway police outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam told risingbd.com that a speedy human hauler hit the parked covered van in the area, leaving four dead on the spot and injured seven others.

Later, the injured people were sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital where another one died under treatment.
