A letter, signed by ACC Secretary Abu Md Mustafa Kamal, has confirmed the matter.

The committee has been asked to submit a report over the implementation of IPTV within seven working days.

The report will include all necessary things citing specific proposals and required funds to launch the IPTV.

The other members of the committee are--system analyst Md Razib Hasan, ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya and Deputy Director Wakil Ahmed.

In reply to a query, ACC Secretary Abu Md Mustafa Kamal said, "We want to focus on preventing corruption alongside curbing it. Basically, the anti-graft body has taken the initiative to raise awareness against corruption among people through making them more conscious about curbing corruption. But it is still at primary stage. Many things left to do."

Earlier on July 11, with an aim to rein in corruption, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) took an initiative to launch internet-based Television which will broadcast its programmes as Internet Protocol Television or IPTV.

The commission approved a proposal regarding the setting up of IPTV at its meeting in the first week of July.

The anti-graft body has taken the initiative basically to raise awareness against corruption among people through making them more conscious about curbing corruption.

The commission will air different recorded programmes for the time being. The programmes included airing events that prevent bribe transactions, verdict in graft case, mass hearing, press conference and many other incidents.

The ACC has plans to broadcast the programmes live in future.
