Secretariat Correspondent: A five-member probe committee has been formed over a lawsuit that led to the arrest of a Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) for publishing a 'distorted' portrait of Bangabandhu on an invitation card.
Cabinet secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam confirmed the matter to media on Monday.
He said that the probe body will be led by an additional secretary of the cabinet division.
In reply to a question, Mohammad Shafiul Alam said details can be said after getting probe report.
Earlier, on July 19, Barisal CMM court sent UNO Tariq Salman to jail after he surrendered before it in compliance with its order and sought bail in the defamation case.
