7 burnt in Teknaf gas cylinder blast

Cox's Bazar Correspondent: Seven people were burnt in the incident of gas cylinder explosion at a shot at Jahazpura Bazar of Baharchhorha area of the district's Teknaf upazila on Friday evening.

The victims were identified as Syed Nur, 35, son of Hedaytur Rahim, Shahjahan, 23, son of Abdus Shukur, his younger brother Jafor Alam, 18, Nurul Alam, 60, son of Lal Mia, Sayedul Alam, 26, son of Abdul Latif, Hamidur Rahman, 30, Ershadur Rahman, and Abu Siddique, 30, son of Nazir Ahmed.

Of the victims, Syed Nur, Shahjahan and Jafor Alam are in critical state. They were sent to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.

The other victims are undergoing treatment at Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital.

They all are residents of Jahazpura village, confirmed Aziz Uddin, chairman of Baharchhorha UP.
