Another constable of police has died of coronavirus.
He is known as Nirod Chandra Mondal, 52. He was on duty in Pallabi Zone as stenographer under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
Nirod, hailed from Faridpur, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Central Police Hospital in the capital on Monday.
Assistant Inspector General (media) Sohel Rana of Police Headquarters confirmed the news on Tuesday night.
Mentionable, a total of 16 police personnel have died of coronavirus across the country so far.
