Awami League activist murdered in Jessore

Staff Correspondent, Jessore: An Awami League activist was beaten to death by miscreants in the district’s Jhikargacha upazila on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Omar Ali.

Minto Moral, son of the deceased, said his father was beaten to injured by a group of terrorists at Harikhali Bazar at night. He was immediately taken to Jessore General Hospital where duty doctors declared him dead.

Minto Moral also alleged that Liton, Ripon, Asha, Ohab and Monto had beaten his father to death.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jhikargacha Thana Masud Karim confirmed the matter.
