BCB to investigate if Tamim complains

Desk Report: Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal returned home along with family, just after playing a match for England's county side Essex Eagles on July 11.

There were many rumours over his sudden return, after cutting short his stint with the county. Many are saying Tamim and his family fell in an attempted hate crime in the United Kingdom.

However, Tamim shows his disinterest to tell something over the rumours. And that's why; Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is also not ready to tell the matter.

Meanwhile BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon said the board will investigate into the matter if Tamim complains in this connection.

Alongside, he also urged cricketers to share with the board as soon as possible if anybody faced such incident so that it can take steps on time.

Papon said, "It is really a sensitive matter. If it happened really, it needs to file a general diary first with the police station along a written complain. But I think it was not dangerous as Tamim could not tell anything over the issue."

"Tamim is our best performer and best batsman as well. Nobody can deny this. He made lot of contributions for the country. After all, he is very gentleman. He is also man of one word. We should not try to go behind the incident any more, as he has no interest to disclose the matter on personal ground," he added.
