BNP submits financial statement to EC

Staff Correspondent: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) submitted the audited report on its financial statement of 2016 calendar year to the Election Commission (EC).

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi handed over the report to Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huha on Monday afternoon.

According to the report, BNP earned TK 4,13,68,730 while spent Tk 3,99,63,852 during the period, showing a surplus of Tk 14,4,878.

About the surplus, Rizvi said there has been an amount as surplus money due to council.

Mentioning the reason behind this surplus money, he said the party has got some donation for its council.

According to the law, each registered political party is obliged to submit its financial statement of the previous calendar year by each July 31.
