Ban on motor vehicles election day

Authorities have imposed a general bar on all types of motor vehicles on election day, with special emphasis on motorcycles.

The ban will remain active from January 30 midnight to February 2 morning in the polling areas.

Election Commission (EC) director-2 wing deputy secretary Md Atiar Rahman issued a notification in this regard on Monday.

The ban will be applicable on motor-run three-wheelers, auto-rickshaws, bike, taxi cab, microbus, jeep, pickup, car, bus, truck and tempo.

The ban will be relaxed for the candidates, their agents, local and foreign observers with having approvals from the returning officers and ID cards under their possessions.
