Bangladesh adds 2977 new Covid-19 cases in a day, 39 deaths

A total of 39 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 3,306 in the country.

Besides, a total of 2977 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 2,49,651.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the latest figures of deaths and infections in the daily online bulletin of DGHS on coronavirus situation in Dhaka on Thursday (August 6).

According to DGHS, a total of 1,42,253  individuals have recovered from the disease so far since Bangladesh recorded its first Covid-19 case on March 8.
