Baul singer raped in Savar

Staff Correspondent, Savar: A Baul singer (32) has been raped by several youths after inviting her to perform at a programme.  

The victim filed a case with Ashulia Thana on Thursday evening.

According to the complaint sources, the victim's house is in Narayanganj. Some youths from Aukpara area of Ashulia hired her to perform on Wednesday night. Instead of singing songs at night, those youths raped the Baul singer.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ashulia Thana Abdul Awal said that seven to eight youths raped the signer. However, she could not give the exact identities of the accused. Police are investigating this matter. The victim was sent to One Stop Crisis Centre at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
