Body forms to probe IU employee’s bribery scam

H K Jibon from IU: Islamic University (IU) authorities formed a three member probe body, led by its Proctor Professor M Mahbubar Rahman, for investigating one of its employees bribery scam on Monday.

IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif said that university Vice-Chancellor formed the probe body against Aslam Ali, an employee of the university’s Controller of Examinations Section after getting written complaint from the section in the morning.

The others probe body members’ are- acting Director of Planning and Development Section HM Ali Hasan and Deputy Registrar of Academic Section Chandon Kumar Das.

Prof Dr M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari, IU Vice-Chancellor, said that they had suspended the employee from the university’s administrative activities and would take legal action against him after getting reports from the probe body within seven working days.
