Body found a day after abduction

Staff Correspondent: Police have recovered the dead body of a man named Siddique Ahmed, 60, from Keraniganj area of Dhaka a day after he was abducted.

Confirming the news, Ashikuzzaman, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Keraniganj Dakkhin Police Station, said, "Several police teams worked to rescue Siddique after he was abducted on Thursday. His body was recovered from Ainta area at Konda union of Keraniganj on Friday morning."

The body was later sent to Sir Salimullah Medical College Morgue for autopsy, he said.

A process to file a case is underway in this connection, the police official said.

The OC said that Siddique might have been killed due to internal conflict.
