Staff Correspondent: Bogra town Sramik League convenor Tufan Sarker has been expelled from the workers’ front of ruling Awami League (AL), for allegedly raping a female.
A press statement signed by Jatiya Sramik League office secretary Aminul Islam revealed the news on Sunday.
Sramik League President Shukkur Mahmud and general secretary Sirajul Islam said in a joint statement that Jatiya Sramik League is a disciplined and ideal organisation. There is no room for criminals here.
They also demanded exemplary punishment for people who were involved in raping the female student and torturing her and her mother.
