Dacoits kill one in Sarail

Brahmanbaria Correspondent: An old man named Abu Khan Chowdhury (75) was killed in the attack of dacoits in the district’s Sarail upazila.

The incident took place early Thursday in the village of Deora of Shahjadapur Union under the upazila.

Family sources said that a group of dacoits entered the house of Abu Khan. At that time Abu Khan shouted and the dacoits hit him with a rod on his head. He died on the spot.

The dacoits also beat his wife. Later, the locals rescued her and sent to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of Sarail Police Station (OC) Rupak Kumar Saha said police have been sent to the scene. The matter is being investigated.
