Bangladesh Cricket Board will take decision on Lokman Hossain in the next board meeting where he will hold the post as chairman of Facilities Management Committee of BCB.
Jalal Yunus, chairman of Media and Communication Committee of BCB, told reporters at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Monday.
He said, “The board president (Nazmul Hasan) cleared it earlier that if he (Lokman) is found guilty, we will take action against him. We are waiting (for the decision of the court in his case).”
We may discuss the matter in the next board meeting,” he added.
Lokman, also the Director in Charge of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club, is currently in police custody. He was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on September 25 on the charge of illegal possession of foreign liquor.
Lokman is accused of running illegal casino at the Mohammedan Sporting Club premises in the Motijheel area in the capital.
