Dhaka Airport fire under control

Staff Correspondent: A fire that broke out at Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka was brought under control on Friday noon.
Ten fire service units brought the blaze under control around 3:15pm.
Fire Service headquarters duty officer Mizanur Rahman confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.
Earlier, Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters Duty officer Palash Chandra Modok said that the fire originated at second floor of the main building around 1:30pm. No casualty was, however, reported.
Special team of police forces and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel cordoned the area to avoid any untoward situations.
Airport sources said that there might be delay in taking off flights as the departure lounge’s operation remains suspended.
