'Comments of diplomats over Abrar killing are unexpected'

Information Minister and Awami League (AL) Publicity and Publication Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud opined that the comments of diplomats over Abrar murder are unexpected.

The minister said made the opinion while addressing the biennial conference of Chattogram Bibhag Sangbadik Forum (CBSF), a platform of working journalists from Chattogram division in Dhaka, at the auditorium of Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka.

Terming the BUET killing incident heinous, Hasan said, after the killing, some international agencies expressed their concerns over the issue.

“The global organizations are working with us for long to materialize our dream… But I want to ask them whether they showed their concern when miscreants killed hundred students in US schools,” he added.

Deputy Minister for Education Barrister Muhibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel addressed the programme as special guest.

CHSF President Mahmudur Rahman Khokan presided over the program where DBC TV Chairman Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, Forum secretary general Shahin-ul-Islam Chowdhury and others attended.
