ECNEC approves 14 projects worth over Tk6,228 crore

Staff Correspondent: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved 14 projects involving Tk 6,288.49 crore.

The approval was made at a regular Ecnec meeting at the NEC conference room in Dhaka’s Sher-E-Bangla Nagar with the committee’s Chairperson and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal said, “Of the total project cost, Tk5,421.40 crore will come from the government, Tk741.28 crore from the project assistance while the rest of Tk 65.81 crore from respective organisation’s own fund.”

Planning Secretary Ziaul Islam, General Economics Division (GED) member of the Planning Commission Dr M Shamsul Alam and others attended the meeting.
