EC's talks with journalists on August 16-17

Staff Correspondent: Centering the next election roadmap, Election Commission (EC) will join the electoral dialogue with journalists and media personalities on August 16 and 17.

Helal Uddin Ahmed, EC secretary, said this while speaking to newsmen at his office in the capital on Sunday.

He said that the chief election commissioner will meet renowned media personalities on August 16 and 17 as a part of EC's election roadmap. After the meeting EC will meet political parties in the late August. 

Helal Uddin Ahmed also said that a total of 60 media personalities will be invited.

Earlier, on July 31, most civil society members during talks with the Election Commission spoke for restoring “no vote” system and ensuring a level-playing field for all political parties to hold the next election in a free, fair and participatory manner.
