Educational institutions to remain shut until Aug 6

The government has extended the ongoing closure of the country’s all the educational institutions until August 6 as a part of preventing the spread of deadly coronavirus.
Mohammad Abul Khayer, public relations officer (PRO) of the Education Ministry, confirmed the development on Monday.
According to sources of the ministry, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education held a meeting on Monday. At that meeting, it was decided through discussion to enhance the closure for educational institutions.
Md Akram-Al-Hossain, Secretary to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education said, “The coronavirus situation is getting worse across the country day by day. The number of corona infected patients is increasing gradually. Therefore, it has been decided to remain close the educational institutions until August 6 as the corona situation is still not normal.”
All educational institutions were declared shut on March 17 to prevent the spread of coronavirus. No classes have been held since that day.
