'Each FFs to get Tk52,500 before Eid-ul-Azha'

Secretariat Correspondent: Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said that each freedom fighter will get Tk52,500 as festival allowance and honorarium before coming Eid-ul Azha.

The Minister made the disclosure while addressing a meeting with a delegation of freedom fighters at his secretariat on Sunday.

He said, "Each freedom fighter will get a total of Taka 52,500 - including three- month honouriam and bonus allowance of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha."

AKM Mozammel Haque also said that the incumbent government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to ensure the welfare of the freedom fighters.

Former Vice-Presidents of Muktijouddha Command Council Ismat Kadir Gama, Prof Doctor MA Salam Khan and Mohammad Salah Uddin, freedom fighters - Mohammad Alauddin Miah, Delwar Hossain, Dr Fazley Ali and Mia Mujibur Rahman, among others, were present during the meeting.
