Farhad Mazhar interrogated again

Staff Correspondent: Detective Branch (DB) of Police has interrogated writer and columnist Farhad Mazhar again as police found anomaly with the statement he gave before the court.

He was quizzed at DB office in the capital till 1:30pm on Tuesday.

Mohammad Yousuf Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the news.

Police said there is anomaly between the statement Farhad Mazhar gave before the court under section 164 and police found in investigation. He was quizzed again to verify the testimonial how he crossed the ferry ghat on his way to Khulna and why he was abducted.

He was found in a Hanif Paribahan bus at Abhaynagar in Jessore heading towards Dhaka from Khulna around 11:30pm on July 4, nearly 18 hours after he went missing from his capital's Adabor residence.
