Ashulia garment factory catches fire

Staff Correspondent: A fire broke out at a readymade garment factory in Narsinghapur area of Ashulia at the outskirts of the capital on Saturday night.

Sources said that the fire was originated at the store room on the first floor of the eight-storey building of Medlar Apperals Ltd in Norshinghopur area of Ashulia a 8:30pm and engulfed the whole floor.

On information, eleven fire service units rushed to the spot and trying to douse the blaze.

Witnesses said garments workers were working in the factory at nightshift.

Central fire service control room confirmed the matter to risingbd.com.

Nine injured workers were sent to local hospital from the spot, our Savar correspondent reports quoting locals present at spot.
