Bodies of five people including four children were recovered after a boat capsized is Kaliakuta Haor in Sunamganj district's Derai Upazila.
The incident took place aroiund 7:30pmon on Tuesday. 10 others went missing in the incident.
According to locals, the boat bound for Perua village under Charnachor union from Masimpur with 20 to 25 passengers on board sank in the Haor.
Being informed, locals rushed to the spot and recovered bodies of five people including four children till 9:30pm.
Ten people were missing till the report was filed, according to Rafinagar union parishad member Kuti Mia.
Derai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) K M Nazrul Islam confirmed the toll of bodies recovered.
He, however, could not tell identities of the deceased.
