Four killed as under-construction gate collapses

Four people were killed and two others were injured as an under-construction gate of M Mansur Ali College collapsed at Gulta Bazar area in Sirajganj’s Tarash upazila on Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased were known as Tojam, 65, of Gaborgari village, Rashidul Islalm, 26, of Bostul village of the Tarash upazila, Asif, 14, of Nishchintapur village of Singra upazila, and Khadem Ali, 50, of Shahjadpur upazila.

The injured are Babu, 23, son of Shahinur of Talom village, and Shafiqul Islam, 31, of Lauson village.

Mahabubur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Tarash Police Station, confirmed the news.
