Gulshan attack: Charge sheet after interrogating Rash

Staff Correspondent: Counter Terrorism Chief Additional Commissioner Monirul Islam said the charge sheet in Gulshan terror attack case will be pressed after interrogating Neo-JMB leader Md Aslam Hossain alias Rash, 24, who was arrested from Natore on Friday.

"Rash trained the militants who carried out attacks on the Holey Artisan Bakery in the capital," he added.

Monirul Islam said this in a press conference at media center of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Saturday noon.

He said many of the militants involved in Gulshan attack were killed in operations. Many of them were also arrested. The investigation is on the edge.  Hope, we can press charge sheet in the case after interrogating Rash.

Rash was one of the closes associates of Tamim Chowdhury, main coordinator of Gulshan attack. He was mastermind in the attack.  He provided arms and training to the militants. He also involved in renting flats, he added.

He said a 10-day remand will be sought for Rash after producing him before a court.
