Holey Artisan café attack case verdict on Nov 27

A Dhaka court will deliver its verdict in a case filed over the terror attack on Holey Artisan café in capital’s Gulshan on November 27.

Anti-Terrorism Special Tribunal Judge Mohammad Mojibur Rahman fixed the date on Saturday after hearing the arguments of the both sides in the case.

Public Prosecutor Golam Sarwar Khan (Zakir) said, “We have been able to prove the charges against the accused. Hoping accused will be awarded highest punishment.”

Lawyers of defendants said, “The state side could not prove the allegations against the accused. That’s why accused would get acquittal.”

On July 1, 2016, five members of militant outfit Islamic State attacked Holey Artisan bakery at diplomatic area of Gulshan in the capital killing 20 people, mostly foreigners. The following day, five militants were killed in a commando operation by the army.
